Ecuador is a haven of biodiversity and cultural richness, offering diverse landscapes from the Amazon Rainforest to the towering Andes. This program spans urban hubs like Quito, serene highlands, and dense rainforests. Each location introduces participants to Ecuador’s ecological significance and cultural heritage, fostering a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities of sustainable living.

The Gen-Z Amazon Program is a unique initiative by Fireside Adventures that immerses participants in Ecuador’s unparalleled natural and cultural diversity. Through activities like hiking the Andes, rafting the Amazon River, and living with Indigenous families, participants gain insights into sustainability, climate action, and leadership. This program integrates traditional knowledge with modern solutions, fostering a deep understanding of climate change and empowering participants to return as proactive change-makers.

Our team brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to guiding unforgettable adventures. From leading expeditions across Canada, Japan, and the Arctic, to creating innovative climate change programs like the World Bound expedition series, our staff is committed to hands-on, experiential learning. With backgrounds in outdoor education, environmental justice, and unique curriculum development (like Parkour & Filmmaking), we are focused on creating real-world, out-of-the-box experiences. Our mission is to inspire, challenge, and empower the next generation to tackle the climate crisis head-on.

Meals are an integral part of the experience, offering local Ecuadorian cuisine. Enjoy traditional dishes like empanadas, guinea pig, and hearty Andean soups.

Every meal emphasizes sustainability and community, with participants helping prepare and cook alongside Indigenous chefs.

A combination of farm-to-table ingredients and local delicacies ensures a flavorful immersion into Ecuador’s culinary heritage. Vegetarian, vegan, and dietary accommodations are available.
