As a Language Coach at our English Language Camp in Bath, you will be responsible for delivering structured English lessons in the mornings, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking skills.

These lessons are designed to be formal and intensive, providing campers with a comprehensive understanding of the language. In the afternoon, you will lead group dynamics sessions, creating an interactive environment to reinforce and practice the language skills learned in class.

These sessions might include games, role-play, and other engaging activities that help campers apply their learning in real-world contexts.

When not in the classroom or conducting group sessions, you will take on the role of Camp Counselor, guiding campers during outdoor activities, sports, team-building exercises, and free time.

You’ll be a role model, encouraging campers to use English in everyday conversations, helping with social interactions, and ensuring that they have an enjoyable and safe camp experience.

About Our Staff:

For several years we have cooperated with the organization Camp Europe e.V., which specializes in the search, selection and training of German and international Teamers and language coaches.

General Aspects:

    - Duration: 4 to 8 weeks, typically from late June through August.

    - Training: Comprehensive Camp Counselor training and a 120-hour TEFL certificate (provided free of charge).

    - Stipend: Competitive stipend provided for the duration of the placement.

    - Accommodation: Full room and board provided during training and throughout the placement.

    - Cultural Exchange: Work in a diverse, multicultural environment, creating a network with international colleagues and campers.

    - Skill Development: Gain experience in both formal language teaching and mentorship in a camp setting, improving your leadership, communication, and language skills.

Requirements:

- Age: 19+ by the program start date.

- Personality: Energetic, patient, and motivated to make a difference in the lives of young learners.

- Language: Fluent in English (native or near-native proficiency).

- Training: Completion of Camp Counselor training plus a 120-hour TEFL course (offered free of charge).

- Adaptability: Comfortable in a structured teaching environment and able to balance this with the dynamic nature of camp life.
