No visa needed for under 90 days. From 2027, visa-free travellers to Europe will need an ETIAS travel authorisation (about €20).

Fantastic
“Being a teamer offered a multitude of rewarding experiences that left lasting impressions. At the heart of it, the role allowed me to foster a sense of community and mentorship among campers. Each day presented the opportunity to positively influence young minds, guiding them as they learn new skills, embrace challenges, and build self-confidence. This interaction often lead to witnessing campers' personal growth, which is profoundly fulfilling.”

Summer adventure of a lifetime.
“My title says summer adventure of a lifetime, but camp is so wonderful that you end up getting drawn back year after year! Coming back this year was like being welcomed back home by a wonderfully large family! Whilst overall organisation may not be the strongest at camp they make up for it in wonderful directors who support you with all your worries and queries throughout the summer, creating a incredibly strong and united teamer team who really are there for you whenever you may need it. If you're someone who enjoys the challenge of working outside and in nature with children and a wonderful team of young people and adults then camp is for sure the place for you!”

Amazing:)
“Everyone bonded together really quickly and the camp became a family every week with new additions. The atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly, everyone felt connected, supported, and to be able to express themselves openly. I loved being a language coach- especially the creative process of planning English based activities and sharing traditional English games with the campers.”

Entertaining 😂
“Camp is such a wholesome environment. I met the most amazing and funny people from all over the world that I can now call my friends. The activities were so fun to lead and the kids always were so enthusiastic to do them. Being able to speak one language to teamers and another to the kids in the same place was the coolest opportunity and a great way to practice my German.”

“From day one, immaculate vibes. The team there really puts a lot of effort into making sure the staff and kids there are fully enjoying themselves. They take child welfare very seriously. The path that could continue after this is also great for career development into the outdoor education world. This place is an amazing fun place to be your first or second stop, becoming a real pedagogy professional. The high ropes activities are run well, and given the correct longer term staff do the teambuilding, that can be very expertly done too. Overall, you can have an amazing experience here, which really relies on your willingness to take part in the fun, that's basically the only condition.”

Questions
›Do UK citizens need a visa for a summer camp in Europe after Brexit?
No, not for stays under 90 days, which covers every summer placement: you travel on your UK passport. From 2027, visa-free travellers to Europe also need the online ETIAS travel authorisation (about €20). If you also hold an Irish or other EU passport, travel on that one: no limit at all.
›How much does a summer in Europe cost from the UK?
Less than from most places: the return flight is about €150 (≈ £130) booked 2 to 4 months ahead. Room, board and training are included, and at Camp Europe the camp pays you €75 every week. Over an 8-week summer: you spend about €79 in total (≈ £70).
›Do I get paid?
Yes. On Camp Europe placements you pay a €75 pre-interview fee (€55 until 21 December), which is not refunded, and €300 to confirm. The camp pays you €75 every week: after the training week (unpaid), the first 4 weeks pay your deposit back, and from placement week 5 it is an extra weekly Transportation Cost Compensation (TCC), plus €150 TCC towards your travel.
›Do I need to speak German?
No. English is the working language at camp; another language is a plus, never a requirement.
›Who can apply, and when?
Anyone 19 or over (some placements ask for more). Applications are open from 1 November to 30 April, so it fits around university exams.
›Which documents do I need?
A valid passport; a criminal record check less than 1 year old, issued specifically for working with children or the vulnerable sector (online printouts are not accepted); a first aid certificate (a one-day course if you do not have one) and travel medical insurance for your whole stay.
