Design in Town is a 2- or 3-week summer camp exclusively for high school students, designed as a unique career orientation experience in contemporary design disciplines. It offers students the opportunity to challenge themselves, explore creative fields shaping today’s built and visual environment, better understand their strengths, and enjoy a highly engaging learning experience.

Design in Town is a 2- or 3-week summer design camp for high school students, created as an intensive orientation pathway into design and contemporary project disciplines. Participants work on real, meaningful projects alongside professionals, adapting to intense schedules, tight deadlines, and shared rules. Each week, students complete multiple projects across different disciplines, allowing them to test their skills, interests, motivation, and creative resilience. Teachers, tutors, and students collaborate in a dynamic environment focused on growth, feedback, and experimentation. The experience aims to strengthen self-awareness and informed decision-making for future education and careers and is supported by leading cultural institutions and educational partners.

1. Career-Oriented Summer Design Camp An intensive 2- or 3-week orientation program for high school students interested in design, architecture, fashion, and creative industries. 2. Real Projects with Industry Professionals Students work side by side with instructors and design professionals on real-world projects, experiencing the creative process in a practical and realistic way. 3. Intensive & Multidisciplinary Learning Each week includes two different projects in two distinct design disciplines, guided by different instructors, with only three days per project—mirroring real professional deadlines. 4. Method Based on Structure & Collaboration The program follows a fast-paced daily rhythm and shared rules, promoting responsibility, teamwork, respect for shared spaces, and professional discipline. 5. Personal Growth & Self-Awareness Participants discover their aptitudes, interests, and limits, gaining greater clarity and confidence in their future academic and career choices.

The program immerses participants in real-world creative projects, guided by internationally experienced professors and professionals across multiple design fields. Students work collaboratively, develop practical skills, and gain clarity on future academic and career directions in design and creative industries. The experience is challenging, highly structured, and deeply engaging—more than a typical summer activity, it’s an immersive learning journey.

MorgenBlock 1

Mornings are dedicated to creative workshops and hands-on design projects led by experienced mentors. Participants explore areas such as graphic design, architecture, branding, and visual storytelling through guided sessions that combine theory with practical application. Working individually and in teams, students develop their own ideas while learning key design principles. The environment encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, offering an inspiring and productive start to each day.

Ausflüge

Within Troia itself, students naturally explore the historic town center, its cathedral, and surrounding streets as part of daily life — all within walking distance of the camp facilities. The program includes a day trip to one of the three art capitals of Central and Southern Italy: Rome, Naples, or Lecce
