A director at Camp Europe, on international teamers

Do not hesitate. Having international counselors might be the best thing that has ever happened to me or to my camp.

Would hire again

Before
It is always a worry how flexible an international counselor is, and whether they can adapt well to the international environment.
Choosing
Usually the motivation: how excited they are for a new experience, and that they understand what they are getting into.
Arrival
The international staff usually come prepared. They receive the manual on packing, what to bring and what to expect.
During the season
They bring new energy, new games and activities from home, and a language and culture the children meet every day. "Where are you from?" becomes a real conversation, and the children discover their world is much bigger than their hometown.

180 to 200 staff per season

5 · In her words
