Participants explore Venice’s lagoons, hike through Parco delle Dolomiti D'Ampezzo, and canoe along the River Piave. Each location offers a unique look at Italy's natural beauty and cultural heritage, from the bustling streets of Treviso to the quiet serenity of the Bellunesi forests. This adventure showcases Italy’s natural wonders while highlighting its rich history and environmental stewardship.

Program Overview

World Bound Italy invites teens to explore the stunning landscapes of northern Italy, from Venice’s iconic canals to the jagged peaks of the Dolomites. This 24-day expedition combines cultural immersion with climate change education, offering participants the chance to hike glaciers, explore ancient battlefields, and volunteer with sustainable alpine farmers. Teens will experience Italy’s rich history, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking nature, leaving with lifelong memories and a newfound appreciation for environmental stewardship.

Italy’s northern region is a landscape of contrasts, from the tranquil canals of Venice to the dramatic peaks of the Dolomites. Lago di Garda and Val di Sole offer crystal-clear lakes and alpine meadows, perfect for outdoor exploration. This area is steeped in history, with remnants of ancient civilizations and battlegrounds. The region’s natural beauty, combined with its rich cultural heritage, makes it an ideal setting for a camp focused on adventure and climate action.

World Bound Italy offers a carbon-conscious journey through the heart of northern Italy. Starting in Venice and traveling through the Dolomites, this expedition combines adventure, culture, and climate action. Participants will hike glaciers, canoe the Piave River, and experience Italy’s vibrant cuisine while learning about the country’s efforts to combat climate change. Teens will also engage in volunteer projects with local farmers, gaining hands-on experience in sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

World Bound Italy offers campers the chance to enjoy both traditional camping meals and the rich, flavorful cuisine of Italy. Campfire meals will include fresh local produce, meats, and bread, with dishes like stews, pasta cooked over an open flame, and deliciously rustic bruschetta. Throughout the journey, campers will also indulge in Italian favorites like wood-fired pizza, homemade pasta, and fresh seafood from the Mediterranean, all prepared with a focus on sustainability and local ingredients.
