As a German Language Coach, you’ll be responsible for leading dynamic, relaxed, and interactive German lessons during the morning and afternoon activity periods. Your lessons will be centered around language games, storytelling, and outdoor activities that encourage language learning in a natural, engaging way. Campers will improve their German skills while participating in fun, outdoor-focused activities.
Outside of teaching, you will transition into the role of a Camp Counselor, helping to guide campers through adventure activities like hiking, climbing, and team-building exercises. You will also take part in creating a positive and safe camp environment where campers from all over the world can grow, build friendships, and engage in outdoor adventures.
This dual role allows you to build valuable skills in both teaching and leadership while creating unforgettable experiences for campers.

As a German Language Coach at our Adventure Camp in Walsrode, Germany, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in both language coaching and outdoor camp counseling.
The morning and afternoon sessions will focus on fun, engaging, and relaxed German language lessons, designed to improve campers’ language skills through interactive activities and games.
Outside of lesson time, you’ll take on the role of a Camp Counselor, guiding outdoor adventures, fostering teamwork, and creating an unforgettable camp experience for campers from all over the world.

Requirements:
- Age: 19+ by the program start date.
- Language Skills: Native or fluent German speaker; additional languages (especially English) are a plus.
- Experience: Prior teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience is beneficial but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment: Available for 4 to 12 weeks from mid-June through late August.
- Personality: Friendly, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with a passion for working with children and teens in a vibrant outdoor setting.
- Training: Must complete Camp Counselor training, including language coaching modules and outdoor education basics.
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable with outdoor activities and engaging in active camp life.
