I have volunteered at a kindergarten, with children between the ages 4-5 years old. I had to help them get their materials (books, pencil cases, glue, scissoris, etc.), helped them to their tasks, accompany them to their sports class, clean their tables after they ate their lunch and accompany them to wash their hands.
I really enjoyed helping them with their tasks, it was really nice seeing first hand the creativity they had and their happiness showing off their work.
I will say that it was a challenge everytime a child cried, because at their age they are still working on expressing their feelings, so it was hard figuring out the way to calm them down and help them, as time went on and I got to know the children better, it became a bit easier.
