Motivation
Overall, I believe that my experience, skills, and commitment make me a strong candidate to participate in a summer camp, and I would be a valuable asset to the team.
My experience working as a sports coach and volunteer in a children's program in South Africa has provided me with significant experience in working with children and teenagers.
I have obtained several qualifications that make me suitable for the job: I hold a "DOSB-Übungsleiter C Breitensport Kinder/Jugendliche" license, a "Deutsches Rettungsschwimmabzeichen der DLRG Silber" certification, and have completed "Sanitäter C" training.
In addition, I am part of the event planning team for the Student Council at my university, so I possess strong organizational and planning skills that can be valuable in a summer camp setting, particularly when organizing day trips with the children.
Furthermore, I have a passion for travel and experiencing different cultures. By participating in a summer camp in Canada, I can combine some of my favorite activities: working with children, traveling, and planning/executing events.
Experience
During my time in school, I worked as a sports coach for children and teenagers in the areas of swimming, running, mountain biking, and volleyball. I obtained a "DOSB-Übungsleiter C Breitensport Kinder/Jugendliche" license and a "Deutsches Rettungsschwimmabzeichen der DLRG Silber" certification for this work. Additionally, I served as a school medic and successfully completed training as a "Sanitäter C" during my studies.
Currently, I am heavily involved in event planning and execution for the Student Council at my university.
Last year in the spring, I volunteered for six weeks in South Africa and helped supervise orphaned children as part of the "Sizanani Outreach Programme."
In addition, I have experience caring for children as I have three younger siblings.
Expectations
Participating in a summer camp in Canada is an opportunity for me to gain exciting and enriching new experiences. My primary expectation is to have a lot of fun, as this program is the perfect combination of my interests. Meeting new people from all over the world is one of the most important things for me, so I hope to make new friends and learn about different cultures, including Canadian culture, which will improve my communication skills. Additionally, I expect to spend a lot of time outdoors, where I can develop new skills and escape from my everyday digital life. I look forward to being part of Canada's beautiful nature and experiencing its culture and cuisine.
