Yukon Explorer

Leadership Camp

Yukon Explorer combines the best of an outdoor teen adventure, youth leadership training and summer camp; in the backdrop of some of Canada's most pristine wilderness locations in the Yukon. This course is for young leaders looking for an incredible adventure full of outdoor leadership training. In this one-of-a-kind course, youth will paddle down the awesome Yukon river, will learn about the impact of climate change, and explore locations along the famous Yukon Gold Rush! Come meet like-minded people from all across Canada and the world, and experience the rush of canoeing 312km down the rushing Yukon river!

The Yukon, a territory in northwest Canada, is wild, mountainous and sparsely populated. Kluane National Park and Reserve includes Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak, as well as glaciers, trails and the Alsek River. In the far north is Ivvavik National Park, with protected calving grounds for Porcupine caribou.
